I recently lost my wife to cancer about two months ago and as a result have reignited my interest in writing and blogging and sharing our story. You may visit my website if you like at http://www.cognitivecompost.com/ or I am also on Facebook. I appreciate the love you have for your wife. I just went through this same trial with my very best friend. She was also a Pastor's wife. I can read between the lines when reading your blog and know exactly what you experienced that words will never be able to tell. I was with my friend every day from day one of diagnosis until the very end as a caregiver and a friend. It was the hardest thing I have ever been through but the most rewarding and I felt it was such an honor that God placed me there for her. I use to tell her that I wish I could be the friend to her that she had been to me. I never realized I would have this opportunity. It isn't so much her absence that is missed, but her presence. It was everywhere. Every store we would shop in, every activity at the church, shared phone calls at the end of the day...... the list goes on and on. I never realized you could miss someone so much.
I learned so much about myself during this time. And I also believe, the best way to help yourself, is by helping others. I am comtemplating enrolling in some volunteer work, to help others that are going through this same crisis.

In the year ahead, I pray, that we can make the progress that you and your family have made. I look forward to the day, when I can laugh with a memory (of which I have many) and not cry at the mere mention of her name.Mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04837966212120675452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057166324400486358.post-56094276823314687682009-01-26T15:38:00.000-05:002009-01-26T15:38:00.000-05:00Pastor Milton, I rejoice with you on this new blog...Pastor Milton, I rejoice with you on this new blog. I am sure the Lord will bless and use it to touch lives for His Kingdom. With all the glitz and glamour this world offers with all its trappings, we need a steadfast voice for the common good. There is nothing but emptiness of substance and hollow promises made by the pundits of this world being spewed out on our lives that we need the fullness of the riches of Gods' grace to fill us with His power and truth today. Thanks fo sharing your heart in truh with us.
TomTHOMBU1https://www.blogger.com/profile/02460265723808967522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7057166324400486358.post-74720261330533224622009-01-26T13:30:00.000-05:002009-01-26T13:30:00.000-05:00Glad you are still writing Milton, I will continue...Glad you are still writing Milton, I will continue to check your blog often.

Many Blessings
B.J. I know that especially from Saturday morning how really good God is us. Yes, we have missed reading from your blog and excited about this new venture. I am going to be very honest. Being a younger sis, I will have to say you need a different picture. Get Wanda to take one for you. I am sure you will get a much better smile if she does that for you!!
Love, Tricia
PS. I did enjoy the horseback ride with you and Wanda. Next time you ride the pony!Triciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05192137283422626624noreply@blogger.com
